Traffic situation on highway in Bon Festival (preliminary report) 【NEXCO EAST Edition】

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has summarized the traffic conditions during the Obon period [Wednesday, August 9, 2020 to Wednesday, August 16, 2023: 8 days]. To do.

Average daily traffic was 113% compared to the same period last year.
There were 82 traffic jams of 10km or more, 134% of the same period last year.
The number of traffic jams over 30 km was 6 times, 200% compared to the same period last year.
The maximum traffic jam length was 36.7 km, which occurred around 8:35 on Friday, August 11, near the Yaita Kita PA on the E4 Tohoku Tohoku Expressway (Out-bound line).
