Overview of interim financial results and full-year profit and loss forecast for fiscal year 2025

[Key points of FY2025 interim financial results (consolidated)]

1. In Expressway business, operating revenue increased by 50.9 billion yen to 541.8 billion yen due to increases in toll revenue and completed road assets compared to the previous fiscal year. Operating expenses increased by 55.4 billion yen to 515.3 billion yen due to increases in road asset rental fees to the Japan Expressway Holding and Debt Repayment Agency, road asset completion costs, and management expenses.
   As a result, Expressway business recorded an operating profit of 26.5 billion yen (operating profit of 31 billion yen in the previous fiscal year).
   Furthermore, Expressway toll revenues tend to be higher in the first half of the year than in the second half, and management costs tend to be higher in the second half than in the first half due to the impact of snow and ice countermeasures in winter. In addition, due to increases in maintenance costs caused by the recent rise in labor costs and material costs, we expect to incur an operating loss of 4.5 billion yen for the full fiscal year.
2. For the service area (SA) and parking area (PA) business, operating revenue was 18.9 billion yen, operating expenses were 16.4 billion yen, and operating profit was 2.5 billion yen (operating profit of 2.6 billion yen in the previous period).
   The overall related business, including contract work and other businesses, is expected to generate operating profit of 2.3 billion yen (2.7 billion yen in the previous fiscal year), and operating profit for the full fiscal year is expected to be 4.2 billion yen.
3. The total business, including Expressway operations and related businesses, is expected to record an operating profit of 28.9 billion yen (operating profit of 33.8 billion yen in the previous fiscal year), and for the full fiscal year this year, due to a decrease in profits in Expressway operations, an operating loss of 300 million yen is expected.
