Expressway traffic conditions during the year-end and New Year period (preliminary report) [NEXCO EAST Version]

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has compiled traffic conditions for the New Year's holiday period (December 26, 2025 (Friday) to January 4, 2026 (Sunday): 10 days), and would like to inform you of this.

Average daily traffic volume was 102% compared to the same period last year.
The number of traffic jams of 10km or more was 53, five fewer than the same period last year.
There were four traffic jams of over 30km, one less than the same period last year.
The longest traffic jam length was 57.0 km at 6:15 pm on Friday, January 2nd, starting near Kawaguchi JCT on the E4 Tohoku Expressway (In-bound).
