1 Power saving efforts

The maximum power consumption of Hokkaido Expressway in winter is more than four times that in summer, and more than 60% of it is occupied by road heating, so in addition to continuing the efforts implemented this summer, From December 1st to March 31st, part of road heating will be stopped while ensuring safety To do.
We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in regard to any inconvenience caused by using some Expressway and SA (service areas)/PA (parking areas) during the period of efforts.
1) New power saving measures to be implemented this winter (new)
As a new initiative, we will work on saving electricity for road heating. For parts that stop part of the road heating, use snow removal work, spraying of antifreezing agent, etc. Perform only within the range where safety can be ensured, We will thoroughly confirm safety by patrol.

- Reduced road heating range.
- Partial operation of the exit general lane suspended (suspension of changeover lane for replacement of receipts/failure).
- Partial operation of the entrance general lane suspended (trial of ETC/general mixed lane).

2) Efforts to save electricity that have been implemented so far (continued)

- Lighting reduction in the office of the toll booth and lighting in the parking lot. Set the air conditioning temperature to 20℃ in winter.
- LED lighting in offices such as toll booths.
[SA/PA related]
- Toilet lighting is reduced, and peripheral lighting is reduced except where it is necessary for crime prevention.
- Stop the air towel.
- Thinning out the lights of the shops (including snack corners), turning off some of the vending machine lights, and setting the air conditioning temperature to 20°C in winter.

Air-conditioning temperature in the company's interior is 20°C in winter, lighting is reduced by 1/2, electricity is saved in OA equipment, the number of elevators in common areas is reduced, and air towels are stopped.
2 About dealing with unexpected situations
In the unlikely event of a power outage, the Expressway can be used normally. As much as possible, we will use our own power generation facilities so that our customers can use the Expressway safely.
We have confirmed that there is no obstacle to driving on the Expressway due to a power outage, but some facilities may experience power outages and may cause inconvenience, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation. Please.
