Notice of nighttime closure and IC closure on Expressway in Hokkaido

NEXCO EAST Hokkaido Regional Head Office (Atsubetsu Ward, Sapporo City) will close nighttime traffic and close interchanges (ICs) on E5 Do-O Expressway (Dōō Expressway) and E5A Sasson Expressway (Sapphiru Expressway) in connection with road surface repair work and facility maintenance inspections during August~September 2026.
When going out, please allow plenty of time and use detours.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation regarding the construction and work necessary to ensure your safe and comfortable use of the Expressway.

1. Sections and locations of road closures and dates.

• None of these services are available on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
• The event may be postponed to a reserve date due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
  On the reserve days, the tests will be conducted from 10 PM to 5 AM the following morning during August and September, and from 9 PM to 5 AM the following morning from October onwards.
• Please check the flyer for alternative routes.

2. Main construction contents

• Road repair work...
  Repairs will be made to areas where cracks or unevenness in the pavement are evident.
• Road heating repair work...
  We will repair the road heating equipment embedded in the pavement.
• Facility maintenance inspection...
  We inspect various equipment installed inside tunnels and other areas.
