NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office in (Taito-ku, Tokyo), due to the Tohoku region Pacific Ocean earthquake that occurred 46 pm March 11, 2011 14 Expressway for the damage, Kanto Regional Head Office Kanto in the Regional Head Office disaster countermeasures headquarters (General Manager : Shinichi Ishikawa, the president of the Regional Head Office has been set up to confirm the damage situation and at the same time, is making every possible effort to restore the disaster area.

1. Cancellation of suspension of traffic (The following table shows the situation only within the jurisdiction of our Kanto Regional Head Office)
At noon on March 19, we closed the sections below.
Also, at the same time, a new line opened between Kiryu Ota and Sanodanuma in the Northern Kanto Expressway.
As a result, the entire Kita Kanto Expressway (Takasaki JCT to Mito Minami) can be reached.

2. Cancellation of emergency traffic route designation
The emergency traffic routes for the sections in the table below were canceled at noon on March 19th.

3. About closure of rest facility
As for the Kasama parking area on the northern Kanto Expressway (to the east and to the west), damage to the water supply and buildings due to this earthquake has occurred until the repair is completed even after the cancellation of the Expressway main line suspension. The rest facility will be closed. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
Four. Road damage and restoration status
In the Kanto Regional Head Office we are working hard to restore damaged areas, Aftershocks occur every day, causing new damage. We are also making every possible effort to restore new damaged areas.
