NEXCO EAST Kanto Regional Head Office (Taito-ku, Tokyo) conducted a winter tire installation rate survey at a rest facility in the area in mid-December.
The average percentage of winter tires installed was 61.1%, high for large vehicles (85.6%) and low for small vehicles (51.2%). (For more information, Attachment [PDF: 413KB] )
Although the winter tire installation rate has increased compared to last year, the installation rate for small cars is still about half.
