NEXCO EAST Saku Management Office (Saku City, Nagano Prefecture) is developing the Yokokawa Service Area (SA) Out-bound lane of the E18 Joshin-Etsu Expressway (Joshinetsu Expressway), which is used by many customers as a gateway to Karuizawa and Shinshu, as a model project for the "Flower and Greenery Peaceful Highway Garden® Project."

We would like to inform you that the English Garden Area will be opened as the first step of this project and an opening event will be held at the same time.

The English garden area is a Western-style garden with the concept of a prologue to Karuizawa and Shinshu, where you can see beautiful flowers from spring to autumn.

In the future, we will disseminate the attractiveness of Karuizawa and Shinshu through YOKOKAWA Highway Garden®, so when you go to Karuizawa or Shinshu, be sure to stop by Yokogawa SA (Out-bound line) to refresh your mind and body and feel safe and comfortable. Enjoy the drive.

In NEXCO EAST, customers are more likely to use resting facility gardens, etc., switching to a space of comfort and healing as well as creating a regional likeness and regional cooperation "Flower and Green Peaceful Highway Garden® Project Is working on.

　本ガーデンの整備にあたっては、軽井沢町内の有名ガーデンの皆様と「軽井沢グリーン&ガーデン倶楽部」を立ち上げ、会員皆様から「地域らしさ」のアドバイスを頂きながら整備を進めてまいりました。

The opening will be from 3:00 PM on the same day.

(3) Event content

　近隣小学校の生徒30名並びに事前申し込みをされたお客様15名、軽井沢グリーン&ガーデン倶楽部の会員の皆様とともに、オープンする敷地の一画にて草花の植え付けやハンキングバスケットの製作を行い、イングリッシュガーデンエリアを完成させます。

In addition, this event will be worked together with Etsuko Shiho, who was active as a flower activist and produced this event.

In 2016, we partnered with JA Chosei to launch the Sunflower Project to support disaster-stricken areas.
Her husband is singer Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi.

The garden area will be open from 15:00 on Sunday, July 23, 2017, so please drop in.

On the day of the event, please come by car to Yokogawa SA (Out-bound line). Please note that you will be responsible for the transportation costs associated with your visit.
