NEXCO EAST Saku Management Office (Saku City, Nagano Prefecture), E18 Joshin-Etsu Expressway (hereinafter "Joshinetsu Expressway") In-bound Line Sakudaira Parking Area (hereinafter "PA") and Sakudaira Smart Interchange ( The "smart IC" below) will be closed at night for pavement repair work.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time when you go out.

1. 1. Closing location and date and time

  1. Closure location:
    Joshinetsu Expressway In-bound Line (for Tokyo) Sakudaira Parking Area and Sakudaira Smart IC

    • Indications such as E18 indicate route numbers (numbering) such as Expressway.
    • Customers using the Sakudaira PA on In-bound line (towards Tokyo) are asked to leave by 21:00.
    • The Sakudaira PA and Sakudaira Smart IC on Out-bound line (for Nagano) can be used as usual.

    May 22 (Mon) to 24 (Wed), 2023
    Every night from 21:00 to 7:00 the next morning
    Preparation day:
    May 25th (Thursday), 26th (Friday), 29th (Monday), 5th year of Reiwa

2. Detour

  1. Customers using the Joshinetsu Expressway In-bound-bound Line (for Nagano)
    As indicated by the blue arrow, get off at Saku IC and proceed toward Sakudaira Smart IC on Prefectural Route 9 and Saku City Road.
    When detouring between Saku IC ⇒ Sakudaira Smart IC, the required time is expected to take 8 minutes (usually 6 minutes).

  2. Customers using the Joshinetsu Expressway In-bound line (towards Tokyo) from Sakudaira Smart IC
    Please use Saku IC from Saku city road and prefectural road No. 9 as indicated by the blue arrow.
    If you detour between Saku IC ⇒ and Sakudaira Smart IC, the required time is expected to take 8 minutes (usually 6 minutes).

Four. Construction overview

Since the ramp of the Sakudaira PA and Sakudaira Smart IC of Joshinetsu Road has been damaged on the road surface, we will carry out pavement repair work. The section where this work is carried out is one lane, and since construction cannot be done with normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the ramp and work.
Therefore, in order to cause as little inconvenience to customers as possible, we will close the lamps on weeknights when there is little traffic and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This construction is necessary for safe and comfortable use of the Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Five. How to obtain traffic information

(1) Guidance by distribution / posting

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.
  • A banner will be posted on the overpass on the Expressway.
