NEXCO EAST Kazo Management Office (Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture) operates the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as “Tohoku Expressway”), Kawaguchi Junction (hereinafter referred to as “JCT”), Iwatsuki Interchange (hereinafter referred to as “IC”), and Tatebayashi (hereinafter referred to as “IC”). At the Bayashi IC, the lights will be closed at night to repair damaged pavement and bridges, and to carry out accident recovery work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you have plenty of time to spare when you go out.

At the Kawaguchi JCT ramp from the outer and inner ring road into the Tohoku Expressway Out-bound line, the main body of the telescopic device installed at the bridge-to-bridge joint is damaged, so the replacement work of the telescopic device will be carried out. Pavement repair work will be carried out at the Kawaguchi JCT ramp entering the Tohoku Expressway Out-bound line from the outer and inner ring road, the Tohoku Expressway Iwatsuki IC Out-bound line exit ramp, and the Tatebayashi IC In-bound line entrance ramp, as the road surface has been damaged. In addition, the exit ramp from the Iwatsuki Toll Gate to Route 16 (Kasukabe direction) will be repaired due to damage caused by a traffic accident.
Since the work cannot be carried out with normal lane restrictions, it is necessary to close the ramp for the work. Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to customers, the ramp will be closed during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic volume is low, so that the work can be carried out intensively and efficiently. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.
