For passengers who leave the Expressway once due to a nighttime closure, bypass the closed section, re-enter and transfer in the forward direction, we will make a "transit adjustment" to adjust the toll according to the section used .

Transfer designated IC

Joshinetsu Expressway Out-bound line (towards Takasaki)

Joshinetsu Expressway Out-bound line (Joetsu direction)

Koshoku IC
[Joshinetsu Expressway Out-bound Line]
Nagano IC, Suzaka Nagano Higashi IC,
Obuse Smart IC (ETC vehicles only),
Shinshu Nakano IC

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

  • Customers using ETC are requested to run the outflow IC wirelessly and the re-inflow IC wirelessly. (No transit certificate will be issued for ETC vehicles.)
  • ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
  • Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

  • Customers who pay in cash, etc. should receive the "passage certificate" at the outflow IC, then collect the passport at the re-inflow IC, and then the "transfer certificate" at the toll gate where the fee is paid first. Please give a pass ticket.

Common to ETC and cash customers

  • If the suspension of traffic is released after the outflow designated IC is released, the fare will be adjusted even if it is re-introduced from the IC (including the outflow designated IC) in the closed road section in the forward direction.

Four. Construction overview

Joshinetsu Highway Sarahani JCT Out-bound Line Since the road surface is damaged at the ramp from Takasaki to Joetsu direction, pavement repair work will be carried out. Since the section where this work is carried out is one lane and cannot be carried out under normal lane regulations, it is necessary to close the ramp and carry out the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramps on weekday evenings when traffic is low, and carry out construction intensively and efficiently. This is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of the Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
