NEXCO EAST Niigata Regional Head Office (Chuo-ku, Niigata City) would like to inform you that it has compiled traffic conditions for the Golden Week period (Friday, April 25th, 2025 to Tuesday, May 6th, 2025: 12 days).
≪Overview of traffic conditions≫
- The average daily traffic volume on representative sections was 97% compared to 2024.
- Traffic volume was highest on Out-bound lanes on Saturday, May 3rd, and on the In-bound lanes on Monday, May 5th.
- There were three traffic jams of 5km or more, an increase of two from 2024.
- The largest traffic jam occurred on the E8Hokuriku Expressway (In-bound) between Sanjo-Tsubame IC and Nagaoka JCT, and was 11.6 km long due to traffic congestion on Saturday, May 3rd.
