East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku) and SIP * Note 1 Joint research group widely disseminates data specifications of road management information and data exchange rules to society through open innovation We will start recruiting members for the establishment of the "Infrastructure Management Information Consortium".

1 Consortium overview

name:

"Infrastructure Management Information Consortium"
(English name: Consortium of Infrastructure Information for Maintenance)

Founder:

NEXCO EAST, Social Capital Design, Inc., Yokosuka Telecom Research Park, Inc.

Purpose of establishment:

Information technology supports efficient road management to address the aging issues of road assets faced by local governments that manage roads

2 Background of establishment

Our company participated in SIP promoted by the Cabinet Office and developed a database of road information * Note 2 We are promoting the use of the technology that has been promoted as the basic technology of the "next-generation integrated management system" that is the core of the SMH "smart maintenance highway concept" that we are promoting.

In addition, this technology has already been applied to the bridge database of Yamagata prefecture through Tohoku University IMC. * Note 3 In addition to being used as a service, it is also used in Miyagi prefecture, Sendai city, etc. Since it has been used in local governments, it will be established to further spread it to society.

3 Consortium activities

This consortium provides the “road management information representation specifications” and “common API specifications” that define the “road information data specifications” and “road information data exchange rules,” which are the results of SIP research, in local governments, etc. In addition to supporting utilization, we will carry out activities aimed at further improving and disseminating the results through open innovation.

4 Expected effect

  • Database can be constructed inexpensively and quickly
  • Contributing to solving problems faced by infrastructure managers such as local governments
  • Information can be easily linked between databases
  • Development of technical specifications through open innovation in which industry, academia and government collaborate among regions and organizations

Strategic Innovation Creation Program

※2:

"Development of a wide variety of data processing, storage, analysis, and applied technologies that realize advanced infrastructure and screwment"

※3:

The Yamagata Prefectural Bridge Database (DBMY) was introduced through the Tohoku University Infrastructure Management Center (IMC), a SIP regional university.

Reference Strategic Innovation Creation Program (SIP)

The core technology of the next-generation RIMS (information infrastructure), which is the core of the SMH project, was developed by the joint research group, in which we are the research director, in the SIP program below promoted by the Cabinet Office.

Research theme

"Development of a wide variety of data processing, storage, analysis, and application technologies that realize advanced infrastructure management"

research summary

In addition to existing inspection data and drawings, in order to enable efficient use and accumulation of sensor data, which is expected to increase in future usage, a technology to identify errors and duplication of data, and to sort out heterogeneous data We will develop a technology that presents damaged parts by superimposing them on a photo or an annotation such as an annotation, and will also develop a database that centrally manages a huge amount of data for these various types of infrastructure management. In addition, we will develop a practical user interface that local governments can easily use in road maintenance work.

Promotion system (Joint research group)

Eastern Japan Expressway *, Yokosuka Telecom Research Park *, Social Capital Design *
National University Corporation Osaka University, Hokkaido University, University of Tokyo *, NEXCO East Japan Engineering Co., Ltd.
(Persons with "*" are co-founders of this consortium)

In addition, the results have already been used for road management in multiple municipalities.
