5 Request from NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office

  • For Expressway the Tohoku region in winter, make sure to keep winter equipment such as studless tires in a sufficient distance to ensure safe driving.
  • Recently, the number of fallen objects is increasing on the Expressway. Prior to departure, please fix the load, drive too fast, and pay close attention to the distance between vehicles when riding.
  • If the distance between vehicles is short and the vehicle is congested, it may cause traffic jams.
  • Since many rear-end collision accidents occur in the traffic jam section, if you confirm a front-side traffic jam, please turn on the hazard lamp and cooperate with the following vehicle to prevent a rear-end collision accident.
  • Fatigue tends to accumulate when driving at night or for long hours. Since many fatal accidents occur, please take appropriate breaks using SA etc. and try to drive safely.
  • In the unlikely event of an accident or malfunction, please evacuate to a safe place, such as outside the guardrail, and contact us.
  • Expressway, all seats, including the backseat, must be worn, so be sure to wear them.
  • Please refuel and toilet as soon as possible before using the Expressway or at a rest facility in front of a traffic jam section.
