NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office (Aoba Ward, Sendai City) will hold "Highway Festa Tohoku 2015 Winter in Fukushima Hamadori" at Taira Chuo Park, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture.
To commemorate the opening of the Joban Expressway on March 1, 2015 (Sunday), local people gathered in Iwaki-shi Taira Chuo Park from all over the area along the Expressway the Tohoku region. This is an event where visitors can enjoy "things that are unique to the area" that they can only experience if they go to, and rediscover the charm of Tohoku.
Through this event, we hope that the opening of the entire Joban Expressway will improve the vitality of the Tohoku region, stimulate tourism motivation, and even revitalize regional exchanges.
