3 On-site congestion countermeasures
We plan to implement the measures shown in the table below as a countermeasure for congestion on the Expressway during Golden Week. (See Attachment 6 [PDF:286KB])
Items | Implementation content | Implementation quantity | Remarks |
---|---|---|---|
Expressway main line Measures in | In-bound in order to slow down in the slope or the like to suppress the traffic congestion of the cause, will be installed and signs warning | 21 places | |
In order to prevent a collision with the tail of a traffic jam, a warning sign will be installed. | 65 locations | ||
Brighten the lighting to prevent slowing down in the tunnel | -- | Implemented when there is a risk of traffic congestion | |
Install a self-luminous pacemaker*1 to alleviate traffic congestion | 3 places | Near Adachi Tara SA (Out-bound line) Fukushima Tunnel (In-bound line) Hiraizumi tunnel (In-bound line) | |
Measures at rest facilities (SA/PA) | A temporary toilet will be installed to reduce the congestion of the toilet. | 13 places 37 units | |
In order to use the parking space properly at the rest facility, we will arrange a parking lot organizer | 48 places 1,642 people/day | See Attachment 4 [PDF: 244KB] See Attachment 5 [PDF: 116KB] |
*1 A self-luminous pacemaker is an LED light-emitting panel installed on the shoulders or median strips at equal intervals so that the light appears to flow in the direction of travel of the vehicle, which is effective in reducing traffic congestion.
