NEXCO EAST Towada Management Office (Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture) has introduced a new reinforced concrete slab between the E4 Tohoku Expressway Ashiro Interchange (IC) and Kazuno Hachimantai IC. Due to the replacement work and tunnel repair work, the section of 2 lanes on each of the upper and lower lanes will be reduced to 1 lane each, and the all-day two-way traffic regulation will be enforced from May 25 (Tuesday).

During the first and last few days of the construction period, all-day lane regulation will be applied to the upper and lower lanes as a preparatory work for switching lanes.

At Tengu Bridge, work will be carried out to replace the deteriorated existing concrete slab with a new slab, and at the Tayama Tunnel and 5 other tunnels, repair work will be carried out to prevent concrete pieces from falling.

2. During the construction period, the driving lane and shoulders will be narrowed, so please observe the regulated speed when passing, secure the distance between vehicles, and be careful about rear-end collisions. In addition, the lanes will change significantly before and after the two-way traffic regulation section, so please follow the local information signs.
3. Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
4. During the construction period, we will provide construction regulation information using road information boards, simple LED information boards, and road signs, and call for caution so that people can pass safely. Please check this information before passing, and pass safely.
5.
