NEXCO EAST Tohoku Regional Head Office Office (Miyagino-ku, Sendai City) is the Tohoku region managed by our company during the year-end and New Year period [8 days from December 28, 2020 (Wednesday) to January 4, 2020 (Wednesday)] We have summarized the usage status of the Expressway, so we will let you know.

- The average daily traffic volume in the Tohoku region was 23,800 vehicles/day, 88.5% compared to the same period in 2019. (It was 101.7% compared to the same period in 2021.)
- Traffic peaked on December 29th (Thursday) for the Out-bound line and January 3rd (Tuesday) for the In-bound line.

- Traffic jams due to traffic concentration of 5 km or more were 0 times.
Road closures [Attachment-4] [PDF: 61KB]
- From December 28th to January 4th, there were 0 road closures due to snow and 5 road closures due to traffic accidents.
If heavy snowfall is expected in the Tohoku region in the future, please refrain from going out unnecessarily and non-urgently, and if you have no choice but to use the Expressway, please wear winter tires and carry tire chains.
