NEXCO EAST　The Yamagata Management Office (Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture) will close the E48 Yamagata Expressway ("Yamagata Road") Out-bound line at the exit ramp of the Yamagata North Interchange ("IC") during the night to perform expansion device replacement work.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation in allowing extra time for your trip.

2. Detour

For detours, please refer to the attached document [PDF: 206KB].
The detour will increase travel time, so please allow yourself plenty of time when traveling.

3. Construction overview

Yamagata Road Out-bound line, at the exit ramp of the Yamagata North Interchange, expansion device replacement work will be performed due to ongoing damage to the bridge's expansion device. The section where this work is to be performed is a single lane, and since the work cannot be performed with normal lane restrictions, it is necessary to close the ramp to perform the work.
Therefore, in order to minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramp during the nighttime on weekdays when traffic volume is low to implement the work in an intensive and efficient manner. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as this work is necessary for the safe and comfortable use of Expressway.

Four. How to obtain traffic information

  • Notice signs, posters and leaflets will be posted at toll booths and rest facilities nearby.

  • Highway radio (AM1620kHz)
    The highway radio section is indicated by signs on the Expressway.
  • Highway Information Terminal
    We will inform you of road information in an easy-to-understand manner by the monitor screens installed in SA / PA.
  • VICS
    You can get road traffic information with VICS-compatible car navigation and other on-board devices.
  • Information is also distributed on the official X (formerly Twitter) account.
