NEXCO EAST　The Yamagata Management Office (Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture) will close the E48 Yamagata Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Yamagata Road") up and down line from the Nishikawa Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") to the Gassan Interchange during the night for pavement repair work and other reasons.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding and cooperation.

1. Closed section and date and time

The signs such as E48 attached to each route indicate the route number (numbering) of Expressway, etc.

Usage Guide

The following parking areas (hereinafter referred to as "PA") located within the road closure section will be closed.
Yamagata Expressway, both directions, Gassanko PA (parking area): 8 PM to 6 AM the following morning.
In stormy weather, it will be postponed to the spare day.
The decision to proceed with construction will be announced on X (formerly Twitter), etc.

2. Detour

For information on alternative routes, please refer to Attachment 1 [PDF: 270KB].
The detour will increase your travel time, so please allow extra time for your journey.

3. Construction overview

Due to road surface damage occurring on both the Yamagata Expressway (both directions) Nishikawa IC ~ Gassan IC, we will carry out pavement repair work. To minimize inconvenience to customers, we close roads on weekday nights when traffic is low, allowing for concentrated and efficient construction. This construction is necessary to ensure safe and comfortable use of the Expressway, so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Advance notice signs and digital signage will be posted at nearby toll booths and rest facilities.
