NEXCO EAST At the Akita Management Office (Akita City, Akita Prefecture), a nighttime road closure will be implemented at E7 Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway (hereafter "Nitto Expressway") from Iwaki Interchange (hereafter "IC") to Akita Airport IC, E7 Akita Expressway (hereafter "Akita Expressway") from Akita Chuo IC to Noshiro Minami IC, and from E46 Akita Expressway both directions from Yokote IC to Omagari IC.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation so that you can allow extra time when you go out.

2. Detour

For information on alternative routes, please refer to Attachment 1 [PDF: 1.3MB].
The detour will increase your travel time, so please allow extra time for your journey.

3. Regarding transit adjustments due to suspension of traffic

For passengers who temporarily exit the Expressway due to road closures, detour around the closed section, re-enter and transfer in the direction in the direction of the road, a "transfer adjustment" will be implemented to adjust tolls according to the section used. (See Appendix 2 [PDF: 239KB])

How to use transit adjustment

ETC customers

• For customers using ETC, please drive wirelessly at designated outflow ICs, and also wirelessly drive at re-inflow ICs. (Transfer certificates are not issued for ETC vehicles)
• ETC time zone discount will be applied, considering the transited journey as one.
  Toll charges are adjusted at the time of billing, so they may differ from those displayed at the toll gate.
• Insert the same ETC card for all journeys and pass through the ETC lane at the tollgate.

Customers such as cash

• Customers paying with cash, etc. should receive a "transfer certificate" at the outflow designated IC, then take a "transit ticket" at the re-inflow IC, and then take the "transition certificate" at the toll booth where they pay the toll for the first time. Please hand over your ``book'' and ``traffic ticket.''

Common to ETC and cash customers

• Section [6]: If the section between Yokote IC ~ Omagari IC is closed, customers using the Akita Expressway (Yuda-bound, In-bound line) from Tohoku-Chuo Expressway must exit at Yokote IC Expressway and re-enter from Yokote IC. Thank you for your understanding.
• If the suspension of traffic is released after the outflow designated IC is released, the fare will be adjusted even if it is re-introduced from the IC (including the outflow designated IC) in the closed road section in the forward direction.
• Nishisenboku Smart IC can only be used by ETC vehicles, but it is closed from 10pm to 6am the following day.
• Yokote Kita Smart Interchange is only accessible to ETC vehicles, but it is closed from 8 PM to 6 AM the following day.

Four. Construction overview

On the Nitto Expressway both directions (both directions) Iwaki IC ~ Akita Airport IC, the tunnel lighting equipment is aging and will carry out lighting replacement work. Additionally, due to road surface damage occurring on the Akita Expressway (both directions) Yokote IC ~ Omagari IC and Akita Chuo IC ~ Noshiro Minami IC, we will carry out paving repair work. To minimize inconvenience to customers, we will close the road on weekday nights when traffic is low and the work will be carried out intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary for a safe and comfortable use of the Expressway, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
