NEXCO EAST Aomori Management Office (Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture) will be closing the exit ramp of the Towada Interchange (hereinafter referred to as "IC") on In-bound lane of the E4 Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") at night to carry out pavement repair work.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please use the interchanges before or after this location to take a detour. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in allowing extra time for your journey.

The detour will increase your travel time, so please allow extra time for your journey.

3. Construction overview

Tohoku Expressway　In-bound Due to damage to the road surface on the exit ramp at the Towada IC, pavement repair work will be carried out. The section where this work will take place consists of a single lane; since the work cannot be performed using standard lane restrictions, it will be necessary to close the ramp to carry out the work.To minimize inconvenience to our customers, we will close the ramp during weekday nights when traffic volume is low, allowing us to carry out the work intensively and efficiently. This work is necessary to ensure the safe and comfortable use of the Expressway, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
