NEXCO EAST Fukushima Management Office (Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture), in collaboration with Nihonmatsu City, Motomiya City, and Otama Village in Fukushima Prefecture, will install a "flower garden" at the Adatara Service Area (SA) (Out-bound lane) on the Tohoku Tohoku Expressway (hereinafter referred to as "Tohoku Expressway") on Friday, October 30th.
The Adatara Garden Project is a project undertaken at the Adatara Service Area (Out-bound lane), the gateway to the Tohoku region, with the aim of "improving the landscape of the garden area in the rest facilities and creating an environment that customers can use comfortably."
As part of our regional collaboration efforts based on our CSR message, "Connecting communities, connecting with communities, and connecting to the future," we will be creating a welcome panel featuring the image characters of Nihonmatsu City, Motomiya City, and Otama Village—"Kikumatsu-kun" (Nihonmatsu City), "Mayumi-chan" (Motomiya City), and "Tama-chan" (Otama Village)—along with seasonal flowers and plants to welcome visitors and showcase the charm of the region.
An opening event will be held to mark the completion of the flower garden.
