NEXCO東日本、NEXCO中日本、NEXCO西日本は、重大事故につながりやすい暫定2車線区間での高速道路の正面衝突事故防止対策として、ラバーポールに代えて区画柵の設置、検証を行っております。
また、2018年6月15日に国土交通省が公表した「暫定二車線の高速道路のワイヤロープ設置方針について」及び2020年3月31日に公表した「暫定2車線の高速道路における新たなワイヤロープ設置方針について」を通じ、土工部、中小橋梁※1については、ワイヤロープを本格設置しており、2022年度内の概成を目指しております。
長大橋梁※2及びトンネルについては、2021年6月8日の「高速道路の正面衝突事故防止対策に関する技術検討委員会（第5回）」を踏まえ、センターパイプ、センターブロックを試行的に設置することを決定しましたので、今般、以下の6カ所において、試行設置を開始することをお知らせします。
今後、正面衝突事故防止対策としての有効性、適用性の検証を行い、引き続き交通安全対策に取り組んでまいります。
- Small and medium-sized bridges: Bridges with a bridge length of less than 50 m
- Long bridge: A bridge with a bridge length of 50 m or more

The following technical performance has been confirmed, and it can be installed within the construction limit as one of the "fences or piece stops on the road".
