- Expressway traffic conditions during the Golden Week period (preliminary report) [NEXCO EAST]

NEXCO EAST (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has compiled a report on traffic conditions during the Golden Week holiday period [2024 Friday, April 26 to 2024 Monday, May 6: 11 days].
- Average daily traffic volume was 101% compared to the same period last year.
- The number of traffic jams of 10km or more occurred 113 times, which was 116% higher than the same period last year.
- There were 10 traffic jams of over 30 km, which was 143% higher than the same period last year.
- The longest traffic jam was 47.5 km long and occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Monday, April 29th, starting near Iwatsuki IC on the E4 Tohoku Expressway (In-bound).
