East Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. (hereafter, NEXCO EAST) Kanto Regional Head Office and Central Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd. (hereafter, NEXCO CENTRAL) Tokyo Regional Head Office /Hachioji Regional Head Office will Expressway in the Kanto Koshin region and Shizuoka Prefecture during the Golden Week period [Reiwa 5 10 days from Friday, April 28, 2020 to Sunday, May 7, 2023] Congestion forecast (concentrated traffic congestion of 10 km or more) has been compiled.

This traffic congestion forecast is based on past traffic jam records and recent traffic conditions, but actual traffic conditions may differ from forecasts due to accidents, weather, etc. Therefore, please check the latest traffic information before departure. please confirm.

In addition, each Expressway company provides traffic congestion prediction information and road traffic information through various tools (see Attachment-3 [PDF: 343KB]), including the official website. Please use it when using Expressway.

Please note that holiday discounts are not applied during Golden Week.

Please check the traffic forecast and change the date and time of use to​ ​avoid traffic congestion.

Congestion in the Out-bound direction occurs mainly in the morning, especially on May 3 (Wednesday) and May 4 (Thursday),

Congestion on the In-bound direction will occur mainly during the day and night, and it is predicted that there will be frequent traffic congestion especially on May 4th (Thursday) and May 5th (Friday).

1 Congestion prediction

(1) Number of traffic congestion of 10km or more

  1. : Out-bound includes "outer loop" on the C3 Gaikan Expressway and C4 Ken-o Expressway (Ken-O Road), and "eastbound" on the E50 Kita-Kanto Expressway. We will work to strengthen customer services, such as calling attention to rear-end collisions at the end of traffic jams, arranging parking lot control staff at rest facilities, installing temporary toilets, and securing large car parking spaces (See Attachment-4 [PDF: 312KB] for details). reference).

4 Holiday discounts are not applied during Golden Week

During the Golden Week period, in order to avoid intensifying traffic congestion, the holiday discount will not be applied even if you use it from April 29th to 30th and from May 3rd to 7th, which are eligible for the holiday discount.
