During the several days at the beginning and end of the construction period, there will be an all-day lane restriction for up and down lanes as a preparatory work to switch lanes. * For the construction regulation step diagram Attachment-1 [PDF: 152KB] Please refer to.

4 Construction details

About 35 years have passed since the opening of the Riko Nogibashi, which is located between the Ikarugaseki IC and the Owani Hirosaki IC on the Tohoku Expressway Due to salt, etc., concrete floor slabs have deteriorated and reinforcing bars have rusted, so it is necessary to implement drastic measures against deterioration.

By replacing the deteriorated existing concrete slab with a new slab, it will be reborn as an Expressway that can be used safely and comfortably.

5 Requests for use

  • Due to the construction work, we will reduce the section of each two lanes of the up and down lines to one lane for about 5.0 km, and consolidate it into the Out-bound lane to enforce face-to-face traffic all day. During the construction period, it is not expected that traffic congestion will occur due to face-to-face traffic control throughout the day, but if you use this section, we will make further efforts to drive safely, and when using it, please allow yourself plenty of time. Please go out.
  • Since the driving lanes and shoulders are narrow in the two-way traffic regulation section, please observe the regulation speed when traveling and secure a sufficient distance between vehicles to be careful of rear-end collisions. In addition, the lanes change significantly before and after the two-way traffic regulation section, so please follow the local signs.
  • Vehicles for construction work may enter and leave the area around the construction site, so please be careful when traveling ahead.
  • During the construction period, we will provide construction regulation information using road information boards, road signs, and simple information boards, and call attention to drive safely. Before riding, please check the above information before riding safely.
  • Before going out, check the website such as "DraTra" for the latest traffic restrictions and congestion information.
