At the beginning and end of the construction period, several days of lane regulation for up and down lanes are required as preparation for switching lanes. 4 Construction details

About 33 years have passed since the opening of Kosakagawa Bridge located between Towada IC and Kosaka IC on the Tohoku Expressway Since concrete slabs have deteriorated and reinforced steel bars have been rusted, drastic aging work must be implemented. By replacing the deteriorated existing concrete slab with a new slab, it will be reborn as an Expressway that can be used safely and comfortably.

In addition, the Kamedayama Tunnel located in the same section has cracks on the lining surface of the tunnel, floating and peeling, etc., and it is necessary to carry out lining internal reinforcement and peeling prevention work.

This construction aims to increase the efficiency of construction work and reduce costs by carrying out slab replacement work for bridges in the restricted traffic area, tunnel repair work, and slab waterproofing work for Arakawa Bridge.

In addition, we will carry out pavement repair work, road maintenance work, and detailed road inspections.

5 Requests for use

[1] Due to the construction, the section of each of the current two lanes of the upper and lower lanes will be reduced to one lane over about 3.8 km, and will be consolidated on the Out-bound lane to regulate face-to-face traffic throughout the day. No traffic congestion is expected during the construction period due to face-to-face traffic restrictions. However, if you use this section, please make further efforts to drive safely and allow extra time for use. Please go out with.
[2] As construction vehicles may enter and exit around the construction site, please be careful and pass ahead.
[3] Since the driving lanes and shoulders are narrow in the face-to-face traffic restricted section, observe the regulated speed when traveling, secure the distance between vehicles, and pay close attention to rear-end collisions. In addition, the lane changes greatly before and after the face-to-face traffic restriction section, so please follow the local information signs and so on.
[4] During the construction period, we will provide construction regulation information using road information boards and road signs and call for attention to ensure safe driving. Please check this information before traveling safely.
[5] Please check the latest traffic restrictions and traffic congestion information on websites such as "DraTra" before going out.
